High-Purity Nickel Seamless Tubes & Pipes
ASTM B161 / B163 | UNS N02200 (Nickel 200) & UNS N02201 (Nickel 201)
What is Nickel 200/201 Seamless Tube?
Nickel seamless tubes are high-purity industrial tubing solutions manufactured from commercially pure nickel (≥99.6%), designed for use in extreme corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Grades UNS N02200 (Nickel 200) and UNS N02201 (Nickel 201) are widely used where stainless steel and standard alloys are insufficient, especially in:
- Strong alkaline environments (NaOH, KOH)
- Fluorine and dry chlorine service
- High-purity and vacuum systems
Seamless nickel tubes are produced via hot piercing and cold drawing, resulting in:
- Fully homogeneous microstructure
- No weld seam defects
- Superior pressure and corrosion performance
Key Features & Technical Advantages
1. Exceptional Corrosion Resistance
- Outstanding resistance to:
- Caustic alkalis (NaOH, KOH)
- Fluorine and chlorine environments
- Maintains stability across a wide temperature range
2. High Purity & Metallurgical Stability
- Nickel content ≥ 99.6%
- Low impurity levels ensure consistent performance
- Ideal for high-purity processing systems
3. Excellent Thermal & Electrical Conductivity
- Higher conductivity than most nickel alloys
- Suitable for:
- Electronic components
- Heat transfer applications
4. Wide Temperature Performance Range
- Nickel 200: up to 315°C (600°F)
- Nickel 201: optimized for higher temperatures (low carbon prevents graphitization)
- Maintains mechanical integrity at both:
- Cryogenic temperatures
- Elevated temperatures
5. Seamless Structural Integrity
- No weld seams
- Eliminates weld decay and leakage risks
- Suitable for high-pressure and vacuum environments
