Understanding Hastelloy Seamless Tubes

Hastelloy Seamless Tubes, available in grades such as C276 (UNS N10276, DIN 2.4819), B2 (UNS N10665), B3 (UNS N10675) and C22 (UNS N06022, DIN 2.4602), are high-performance tubes made from a nickel-based alloy comprising key elements like nickel, molybdenum, chromium and iron. These tubes are seamless in construction, ensuring uniform wall thickness, tight dimensional tolerances and a smooth internal surface ideal for fluid handling. Manufactured as per ASTM B622, ASME SB622 and standards, this tubing material is known for its excellent thermal and mechanical properties. These tubes have a density of approximately 8.89 g/cm³, melting point around 1325–1370°C and thermal conductivity between 10–12 W/m·K. Mechanical strengths vary by grade, with tensile strength up to 790 MPa, yield strength around 355 MPa and elongation up to 40%. Sizes range from 6mm to 100mm OD, with wall thickness from 0.7mm to 5mm and lengths up to 6 meters. Available finishes include pickled, bright annealed and polished. These tubes are suitable for high-pressure, corrosive and high-temperature applications in various industries.
