Product Description:Incoloy Alloy Steel Pipes

Incoloy alloy steel pipes are nickel-iron-chromium superalloys known for their high-temperature strength and exceptional resistance to corrosion and oxidation. They are commonly used in extremely demanding industrial environments.

 Key Properties and Applications

Incoloy pipes are widely used in industries like petrochemical processing, power generation, and chemical manufacturing due to a combination of superior properties.

Key Properties

Common Applications (Piping & Tubing)

Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800)

General high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance.

Good resistance to oxidation, carburization, and stress-corrosion cracking in many aqueous and high-temperature environments (up to about 593℃).

Heat exchangers, industrial furnaces, chemical and petrochemical processing, power generation (superheater/reheater tubing).

Incoloy 800H/HT (UNS N08810/N08811)

Enhanced high-temperature strength and creep resistance.

Controlled carbon content and special heat treatment provide significantly higher creep and rupture strength, particularly above 593℃).

Petrochemical furnace cracker tubes, steam/hydrocarbon reforming, high-temperature furnace components, nuclear power plant components.

Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825)

Superior aqueous corrosion resistance.

High nickel, plus additions of molybdenum and copper, grant excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids (like sulfuric and phosphoric acid), stress-corrosion cracking, and localized corrosion (pitting/crevice corrosion).

Acid production/pickling equipment, oil and gas well piping (sour gas service), chemical processing, nuclear fuel reprocessing, seawater handling.

Composition Overview (Nickel Content)

Incoloy alloys are distinct from Inconel alloys primarily because Incoloy alloys generally have a lower nickel content and a higher iron content in their composition, though both are nickel-based superalloys.

  • Incoloy 800/800H/800HT: Contains approximately 30-35% Nickel, 19-23% Chromium, with Iron making up the balance (around 39.5% minimum).
  • Incoloy 825: Contains a higher 38-46% Nickel, 19.5-23.5% Chromium, with additions of Molybdenum and Copper, and Iron making up the balance (around 22.0% minimum).
